On Friday, 11th of March, 2016, the annual Ibadan Festival and Conference which showcases the cultural diversity of Ibadan land and where local and national issues are discussed with the objective of contributing to the development of Ibadan land in particular and Oyo State in general was held with the theme “Unlocking the Socio-Economic Powerhouse of Ibadan land”. It had in attendance several technocrats, seasoned professionals, business/thought leaders and other high profile personalities of Ibadan ilk.
The main speaker was Mr. Aderemi Waheed Babalola, former Federal Minister of State for Finance while the three (3) paper discussants were, Dr. (Chief) Adekola Ali, Chief Adegboyega T. Adegoke and Mr. Tony Molade.
It is worthy of note that The Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Senator Abiola Ajumobi was present at majority of our events either in person or through a high powered representation. This is an indication of the increasing relevance and importance of our great Club in the affairs of Oyo State, our motherland. We appreciate His Excellency and pray that he continues to identify with the ideals of the founding fathers of JBC.
